Although the flame hidden in the temple of the fans' hearts has always remained alight, today as a courageous explorer, Bethesda announced the arrival of a new game developed by Machine Games in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. Immediately that flame began to burn again, flaring up proudly, making the brand aficionados jump for joy. Obviously there are really many games dedicated to our Indi, but what interests us most is how an intellectual property of this kind has managed over time to influence other companies, leading them to produce games that have entered the hearts of all gamers. tomb raider
Let's start with an important premise: Lara Croft, whom we have known for some time, is very different from our Indiana Jones. The character in the movies has always been very good at getting out of trouble, without excelling at doing so, while on the contrary Lara has always been a super experienced heroine archaeologist able to fight against tigers without batting an eye. Yet, the new Lara born in this trilogy, is much closer to our Indi, showing more evident weaknesses.
Uncharted
The "clone" par excellence, we are talking about a character who takes a lot from Indiana Jones: starting from the charisma, passing through the daring escapes and shootings, what divides them is only the qualification. Perhaps Uncharted himself has influenced the new Lara Croft a little, but let's remember that all that fun in seeing Nathan Drake at work comes from something from the past, and from the skill that Naughty Dog has shown in transposing him into a homage character, but never carbon copy.
Temple Run
Actually Temple Run it only shares the setting with Indiana Jones, yet now don't tell us that seeing those poorly defined maps you haven't come up with some scene related to one of the films. Take turn-based combat, add roguelike elements and create a setting that is very close to Indiana Jones. Here is Pathway, a 2019 indie game with a strong RPG component that manages to transpose the atmosphere and settings visited by our Indi with pixel graphics and an almost orthogonal view.
Sly Cooper
There is talk of thieves, willing to recover ancient artifacts. Seriously didn't the comparison come to mind? Obviously, take humans out of the equation and put anthropomorphic animals in it, and you have the perfect homage.

I know, actually there is not much in common between Indiana Jones and this game, yet one of the first levels is set in an Aztec temple and at the time, playing it, between the music and the locations, a bit of thinking about it. ended above.

Broken Compass is a paper RPG by Two Little Mice that tells - or rather has the master tell - the adventures of explorers grappling with ancient treasures, races against time and decades-long feuds.
