Obi-Wan Kenobi: That's when shooting will start

After the rumors that have been running around in recent weeks, becoming more and more insistent, about the production of the series Kenobi, which will focus on the iconic protagonist of the Star Wars Universe, Obi-Wan Kenobi, finally it seems that production is about to begin. At first it looked like shooting are due to start in the UK in spring 2021. However, totally different information has emerged in the last few hours. A new report could in fact reveal a date of closer start of construction, and in a very different place.

According to some recent rumors shooting of Kenobi will begin on January 4 and part of the work will take place in Boston. This news has not been confirmed by Lucasfilm or Disney and actually, this surprises us considering the problems due to COVID-19. Instead, we know with certainty that Ewan McGregor will return as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the series, which will be available exclusively on Disney +. Although production has been postponed, filming is about to begin and the actor is ready to begin, so much so that he too talks about spring as the starting period: “We begin next year's spring, so I'm really excited. . I'm super excited, I think it's going to be great. There is no mention of a second season, it is practically a season in its own right. But we'll see, who knows? " McGregor declared.

Deborah Chow was chosen as the sole director for the TV series, which will return to deal with a key character in the narrative of Star Wars. The series will be set between the third episode of the saga Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, and the fourth episode (but first in order of release) Star Wars: A New Hope. At the moment we have no news regarding the plot of this series. Despite the stop of pre-production due to a revision of the scripts and the search for new writers, the shooting therefore seems to be close to the beginning.
