In Shadow of Mordor, the forge towers have a very (but very) similar function to the lookout points in Assassin's Creed. And in the same way the protagonist Talion will be able to climb them, to then reach the anvil at the top and interact with it in order to activate the tower.

After being reactivated, the tower will act as a teleportation point, but also as an observation point to discover new missions and collectibles within the region where the tower is located.
