In the last few hours it had been stated by the Academy that some awards of the 2019 Oscars, in particular Best Photography, Best Editing, Best Makeup and Best Live Action Short Film, would be awarded during commercial breaks. As might be expected, this has sparked a series of controversies that have forced the Academy to back down on its claims. The delivery of all prizes will then be made worldwide.
After hearing the feedback from our members regarding the Oscar submission of the four categories selected to be awarded during the commercial, we have decided to cancel the changes made to the ceremony. All Academy Awards will be delivered in a traditional way.
