PlayStation Plus: Sony unveiled the games offered in January 2021

Through the pages of the official PlayStation Blog, Sony unveiled i free games which will be offered to all subscribers to the service PlayStation Plus in the month of January 2021. The Japanese giant intends to open the new year with a bang, offering two PlayStation 4 titles: Shadow of the Tomb Raider and the action-GDR Greedfall, starting Tuesday 5th January. Plus, on the same day, PlayStation 5 owners will be able to play crazy Maneater, a title developed by Tripwire Interactive and released last May.

Maneater (PlayStation 5 version):

Developed by Tripwire Interactive (and reviewed here by our Simone), Maneater allows players to take on the role of the greatest predator and fearsome predator of the seas: a shark! The title belongs to the category of role-playing games in an open world setting (and speaking of seas and oceans, there is more!). The same developers call the game one "ShaRkPG“, Playing with the words“ Shark ”(“ shark ”in English) and the acronym we all know of role-playing games:“ RPG ”(“ Role-playing game ”).

Shadow of the Tomb Raider (PlayStation 4):

Last chapter of the new trilogy dedicated to Lara Croft, Shadow of the Tomb Raider (here our review) tells a new adventure set in the dangerous and full of mystery jungles of South America. Our Lara will be called upon to save the world from an impending apocalypse, according to the ancient Mayan scriptures. Unarmed and outnumbered, you will have to pay close attention and use the surrounding environment in your favor to get the better of forgotten graves, riddles and deadly traps.

Greedfall (PlayStation 4):

In this adrenaline rush action role-playing game (here our review) you will be called to explore new unexplored lands on a remote island that exudes magic and where immense riches await the bravest, between lost and dark secrets and fantastic creatures. Players are given complete freedom to shape their skills and learn various spells, deciding whether to face each challenge by fighting or following diplomatic paths. Forge the fate of this exciting new world by forging alliances or engaging in unforgivable betrayals.

All the games listed above will be available until February 1st for all Sony PlayStation Plus subscription service subscribers. For PlayStation 4 owners, the free Maneater game will not be available. Greedfall, on the other hand, will be replaced in the Middle East with Assetto Corsa and in Japan and South Korea with Mistower.
