Less than a month to goE3 2018, international fair dedicated to our dear beloved videogames, and today we will focus on what probably one of the most famous software houses ever - for better or for worse - will present on stage: Ubisoft. Creator of many important franchises, including Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Just Dance and many others, her conference atE3 2018 is scheduled for Monday 11 June at 22:00. Certainly Ubisoft will show something more on The Division 2, a title already announced a few months ago, and we hope some more information on Beyond Good and Evil 2; the announcements will certainly not end there, but what exactly should we expect?
The Division 2: the rebirth of the brand?
Two years ago, more precisely on March 8, 2016, one of the titles that should have revolutionized the online open world RPG genre was released, namely Tom Clancy's: The Division. Critics and users praised it for various aspects, but definitely destroyed for others, and after the first period with more joys than pains, the revolution was of a very different kind. Many clans created by players, as well as communities, but the strong sense of repetition of the missions and activities has led the game to almost total abandonment. Two months ago, with a teaser trailer, Ubisoft officially announced The Division 2 and certainly toE3 2018 the software house will present something about this title. We hope to see a gameplay of the title, in which you notice all the work behind the game and maybe a release date for a closed beta, so you can try the product firsthand. Will the French giant have learned from its missteps?
Beyond Good and Evil 2: revolutionary title?
During E3 2017, which we at Resources4Gaming have followed and commented live as every year, Ubisoft revealed with a trailer one of the most anticipated sequels by all gamers: Beyond Good and Evil 2. In fact, back in 2003, Beyond Good and Evil was released, an action title for PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Will its sequel be a revolutionary title? We can't say for sure, but seeing how much the development team has been working on it and how much information has been leaking in the last few months, we dare yes. Beyond Good and Evil 2 it will be a prequel, as the developers have confirmed; there will be free exploration of a single solar system and we will see both single player and cooperative modes, where everyone will have a specific task. Finally, the presence of fighting between spaceships has been confirmed, but the platforms on which the title will be released have not emerged. We hope and trust that during theE3 2018 Ubisoft releases more information on the title, although for now a release date seems somewhat utopian.
A new Splinter Cell on the way?
In recent months, many rumors give the announcement to theE3 2018 of a new one Splinter Cell. The last title dated 2013 was released in multi-platform on WiiU, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Amazon Canada has added to the lists Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 2018, while the voice actor of the protagonist (Sam Fisher) spoke of a hypothetical sequel and the same protagonist was added in Ghost Recon: Wildlands. The announcement is coming to the next one E3 2018? To find out, it takes just under a month.
Assassin's Creed: new title in 2019?
Last year Ubisoft released the acclaimed Assassin's Creed Origins, a title that revolutionized the assassin saga. After a year off, the software house will probably release a new title in 2019, but the question is: where will it be set? According to rumors, the most likely setting is the Greece during the war between Athens and Sparta. The game would be confirmed for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but it is unclear if this time the new chapter of the saga is in development for the newborn Nintendo Switch hybrid console. That it is the right time to show something about this saga toE3 2018?
A lot of meat in the Ubisoft house!
These four announcements will likely be the most important atE3 2018, but of course we must not forget that Ubisoft never goes on stage without surprises, and we could even find ourselves in front of a new IP! We also do not exclude billiard shots designed to hit several players in the heart, pulling loved and never forgotten brands out of the hat. And what about what we already know? How can we forget the trailer at E3 2017 of Skull and Bones, a title very similar in genre to Sea of Thieves! Or the adrenaline and very innovative The Crew 2? Or again, how would you see the announcement of new agents for Rainbow Six Siege, or new warriors on For Honor?
