Troubleshooting Galaxy A20e not connecting to WiFi
Most of the time, network-related problems in smartphones are not very serious. In fact, you may be able to fix it by doing a couple of procedures. This is what we will do here.
We just have to do all the necessary procedures that can potentially solve this problem and, of course, you will be able to reuse your phone normally later. That said, here's what I suggest you do about this problem.
First solution: perform forced reboot to fix phone not connecting
Forced reboot is always the best solution for dealing with firmware related issues. It is a simulated battery removal that updates the phone's memory and reloads its apps and services.
When this type of problem occurs for no apparent reason or cause and if you were able to connect to the same WiFi network before this problem started, it's probably just a minor issue with the firmware. So here's what you need to do:
- Press and hold the Volume Down button and don't release it yet.
- While holding down the volume button, also press and hold the power key.
- Press and hold both keys together for 15 seconds or until the Galaxy A20e logo appears on the screen.
Once your phone has successfully restarted, reconnect it to the same network to see if the problem is resolved. If it still doesn't connect to WiFi, try the next solution.
Second solution: turn the network device off and on again
Just like any other electronic device, the modem or router needs to be restarted from time to time for it to work smoothly. In fact, if you are having network problems with your phone and other devices, always take time to restart your network device. That's how…
- Unplug the modem or router from the wall outlet or simply unplug the power cord from the main unit.
- Leave it without power for a minute or two.

Third solution: reset network settings on the Galaxy A20e

- Finally, tap Reset.

Fourth solution: wipe cache partition on Galaxy A20e
It is possible that this problem is caused by a corrupt system cache. So, if your phone still doesn't connect to the WiFi network after doing the first few procedures, it's time to delete the old cache so that it will be replaced with a new one. You don't have to worry about files and data as they won't be touched. Here's how to do it:
- Turn off the device.
- Keep the keys pressed Volume up e Switching .
- When the Galaxy A20e logo appears, release all three keys.
- Your Galaxy A20e will continue to boot into recovery mode. When a black screen with blue and yellow texts appears, proceed to the next step.
- Press the button Volume down several times to highlight the cache partition deleted .
- Press the key power on to select.
- Press the button Volume down to highlight Yes , then press the key power on to select.
- After wiping the cache partition is complete, the system Reboot now is highlighted.
- Press the key power on to restart the device.
Once your phone has finished restarting, let it reconnect to the network, and if it doesn't connect, try the next procedure.
Fifth solution: backup your files and reset your phone
Most of the time, this is just a software-related problem and if all else failed to fix it, you should be able to get your Galaxy A20e working perfectly again by doing a factory reset.
Just make sure you make a copy of your important files and data as they will be deleted especially those which are stored on the phone's internal memory. Also, remove your Google and Samsung accounts before following these steps so that you are not locked out:
- Turn off the device.
- Keep the keys pressed Volume up e Switching .
- When the Galaxy A20e logo appears, release all three keys.
- Your Galaxy A20e will continue to boot into recovery mode. When a black screen with blue and yellow texts appears, proceed to the next step.
- Press the key several times Volume down to highlight “wipe data / factory reset”.
- Press the Power button to select.
- Press the button Volume down until “Yes” is highlighted.
- Press the Power button to select and start the master reset.
- When the master reset is complete, “Reboot system now” is highlighted.
- Press the power button to restart the device.
