Marvel gave fans the first teaser of the new series What If…?, produced for Disney +. The project will debut on the small screen insummer of 2021. The animated series What If…? will consist of twenty-three episodes, one for each film that makes up theInfinity Saga. The Marvel studio will give us a series in which all the certainties built by Marvel Cinematic Universe they could collapse, setting the stage for totally new stories.

In fact, have you ever wondered what would have happened if the films we loved at the cinema ended in a completely different way? What if…? seems to want to shuffle the cards into tables. In the short trailer shown we see the return of all the main protagonists and superheroes we have known in the Marvel blockbusters, this time in animated sauce. From the trailer we can understand that Nick Fury, Thor, Captain America, Iron-Man and the others will be able to enjoy their original voice actors: who knows if the same will happen for the European version as well. In fact, among the voice actors we find stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Michael B. Jordan (Killmonger), Neal McDonough (Dum Dum Dugan), Sebastian stan (Bucky), Toby Jones (Arnim Zola), Josh Brolin (Thanos), Michael Rooker (Yondu), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Jeff Goldblum (The collector).
The series, from what we were able to understand from the trailer, will resume classic episodes of the MCU, but trying to look at them from another perspective, different from the one we know, and presenting some characters in a completely new guise. What if is just one of the many Marvel series announced during the Investor Day night. It therefore seems that the house of ideas has decided to focus strongly on super heroes also in the next year, perhaps preparing the ground with these animated series for the next films, that will kick off the new phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
