WWE 2K21 canceled and WWE 2K22 will skip next-gen, according to a rumor

WWE 2K21 canceled and WWE 2K22 will skip next-gen, according to a rumor

Justin Leeper, former World Wrestling Entertainment writer, recently stated on Twitter that WWE 2K21, the hypothetical next installment in the series, may have been deleted from 2K Games and Take-Two in favor of another mysterious title linked to the brand and out this year. Leeper claims to have learned this news from reliable sources, which communicate how everything is due to the commercial flop of WWE 2K20 and the Coronavirus emergency, which does not allow the motion capture sessions to be carried out.

Also, according to other rumors, the company is thought to be already thinking about WWE 2K22, which is expected to arrive during the fall of 2021. However, the title is not expected for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, but rather for the current generation of consoles. It should be emphasized that everything is currently only a rumor, and we will therefore have to wait for official news from 2K Games to find out more.

I'm not a fan of bringing "bad news," but it's post-WrestleMania & I think fans deserve to know:
I've heard on good authority that WWE 2K21 has been canceled.
However, another WWE branded game will enter the ring this year… https: //t.co/zRhyz18ONI pic.twitter.com/ai10YXwy3z
