Pokémon: and after Snorlax, here is Gengar's pillow to sleep anywhere

In the last few years Pokémon has produced several truly incredible themed gadgets, managing to crown the innermost dreams of any self-respecting coach. After the huge, and very comfortable, Snorlax plush, Bandai has decided to delight fans of the well-known Japanese franchise owned by The Pokémon Company creating a pillow starring one of the most iconic and appreciated monsters of the very first generation, that is gengar. Although it may seem like a simple plush, the peculiarity of this new gadget is the length reached by the tongue of the dark phantom Pokémon, which once unrolled can reach 170 cm.

Would you use it while lying flat, sticking your head inside Gengar's mouth, or would you roll up his long tongue just like a pillow? Furthermore, according to what emerged on the net, the new gadget is already available for pre-order on the Japanese store of P-Bandai priced at 25.950 yen (approximately EUR 204). However, despite not being a particularly cheap item, the gengar it was quickly sold out in just 1 hour and 14 minutes. It is currently unclear whether there will be a second wave of pre-orders or availability outside of Japan.

Since the release of Pokémon Red and Green in 1996, gengar has become one of the brand's most popular monsters, along with Pikachu, Charizard and Mewtwo. As one of the few Ghost-type Pokemon in the game (along with Gastly and Haunter), it quickly became popular with fans of the franchise. In the 25 years since the game's release, the character has received a large number of products from The Pokemon Company, including models, t-shirts, cards, figures and more. In this time frame, however, the character has never had such a cool themed gadget, quickly managing to win the scepter as one of the coolest pieces of Pokemon merchandise ever.
