Valheim - Guide on how to play with friends

The success of Valheim, the multiplayer survival game developed by Iron gate ab, and as it is dedicated to multiple players it's nice to share it with friends. You will have already become familiar with the making of weapons or with the cultivation of the land, but the fighting will surely have taken you more. Beating enemies alone will give you a lot of satisfaction, but mutual help with friends never refuses. In fact, you can create your own server and invite your friends, and sometimes you will be the one to join their game. In this guide we show you the simple steps to play with your friends.

Transfer your character

Valheim's multiplayer system will give you the ability to move from one game world to another, along with your inventory. This means that if you have stored something particularly important, this way you will run the risk that someone may lose it, and, if you can't get it back, unfortunately you won't find it again when you re-enter your game. It would therefore be advisable to create an alternative character to use when you decide to share the adventures with your friends.

Choose the server

Once you've selected your character, you can switch to an existing server or create a new one. In this case you have to select Start Server or Community Server. The first will limit the world to you and your acquaintances, while with the other anyone can participate.

Set the password

By setting a password, only those who know it will be able to participate, otherwise anyone on your friends list will be able to join.

The exchange is reciprocal

Just as your acquaintances will want to enter your world, so too will you want to do the same. Then select Join the Game, then select Friends, which will bring up all your teammates' active servers. Select the one you want to join and enter your friend's password, if he has set it and communicated it to you, of course. Finally select Connect to enter.

Unity is strength

The more the better, but for any player who will want to join the game, keep that in mind the enemies will become more difficult to defeat.
